Lodge Executive Committee (LEC) Meeting Minutes
January 15, 2026, 7:00 p.m.
Heart of America Council Service Center

  1. Call to Order
    The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by the Lodge Chief, Jedi.  The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance and the OA Obligation.  There were approximately 45 youth members and 30 adults in attendance.
  2. Old Business
    • Approval of December LEC Minutes
      • The Lodge Secretary, Jacqueline, presented the November LEC minutes.
      • Jedi made a motion to approve the minutes.
      • Chloe C. seconded the motion.
      • Minutes were approved by general consent in a voice vote.
  3. Safety Moment – Troy Johnson, Lodge Adviser
    • Spoke about safe communications and the importance of two-deep leadership.
    • Announced a new peer-to-peer training recently released by National.
  4. New Business
    • Lodge Chief – Jedi
      • Introductions: All attendees introduced themselves by sharing name, chapter, and position.
      • THRIVE: Shared the THRIVE possibility and promise statements and provided a QR code for those interested in attending THRIVE meetings.
      • NLS: Announced National Leadership Seminar in Omaha, NE, February 20–22, with scholarships available reducing the cost to $50 per person.
    • Vice Chief of Administration – Jackson
      • Discussed a planning roles and responsibilities meeting.
      • Introduced committees and chairmen for reports.
      • Membership – Chloe C: Reported 647 dues-paying members so far this year.
      • Event Registration: No report.
    • Vice Chief of Chapters – Adrian
      • Introduced all new chapter chiefs and area chairs
      •  and discussed plans to meet with chapter chiefs to encourage involvement at the chapter level.
    • Vice Chief of Inductions – Luka
      • Introduced the committee.
      • Discussed inductions chair training, including roles, expectations,
      • Talked about the role of EPSS at events 
    • Vice Chief of Program – Joshua
      • Introduced the committee.
    • Winter Banquet Recap: 
      • Reported 37 Arrowmen in attendance, successful fundraising for lodge initiatives, and recognition of 47 Vigil Honor members
      • Award recipients were acknowledged.
    • LLD:
      • Announced Lodge Leadership Development on February 7 at Dave & Buster’s (Legends, Kansas City).
      • Training will be led by lodge officers; theme is Love and Fellowship.
    • Vice Chief of Communications – Jacqueline
      • Introduced the committee.
      • Requested chapters and members to submit photos for lodge use.
    • Vice Chief of Finance – Alex
      • Introduced the committee.
      • Discussed Naish 100th anniversary patches, including pricing and limited-quantity options.
      • Noted that all Naish 100th information is available on the HOA website.
      • Reminded chapters to submit reimbursement requests to the Finance email after expenses are incurred.
  5. Open Floor Discussion
    • Section Business – Avail Whitaker
      • Section G6 Foundations: January 23–24, 2026 at Camp Naish.
      • Section G6 Conclave: April 10–12, 2026 at Camp Naish.
    • NYLT – Jedi briefly advertised NYLT and explained what it is.
      • Encouraged members to attend events to help chapters meet Chapter of Excellence goals.
    • Alibis
      • Discussed patches, chapter use of Lodgemaster for elections, Performance Measurement Program metrics expected to be available in May, and upcoming lodge events.

    Final adviser remarks were shared.

    The meeting concluded with the OA Song.
